"CINDY MASTRY: In this pose, Faith is going to help me come in to an advance version of the side leg stretch. So we're going to ask Faith to lie down on a diagonal. Good. And she's going to lift one leg up and place the strap around the ball of the foot. There you go. Good. Now, she's going to take her right hand to her right hip to keep that hip lengthened and onto the ground and square, and she's going to move that leg out to the side. Good. You might need just a little bit more play in that strap. Because now what we're going to have Faith do to advance this is she's going to take the strap into her right hand and she's going to take her right hand behind her head. Yeah. And she's going to keep drawing the strap in and drawing it in a little bit more so that she can bring that foot closer to her head. So eventually, she will be able to lift her elbow over her knee. Yeah. And draw that over and take that leg eventually behind her head. That's eventually where she's going. But right now, she's going to work on breathing her spine long, inhaling from the tip of the head all the way down to the tip of the toe. And then as she exhales, allowing that hamstring to release, and with each exhalation, she's allowed to come into that just a little bit more, even if it's only just a hair, just a little bit more to find a little bit more length and a little more stretch."
