"Hello! This is Cherie Krieger on behalf of expertvillage.com. We are continuing on with our sports massage of the upper body. This particular section deals wit the upper back and upper extremities, the arms and the hands. What we are going to demonstrate now is the hand massage. Hands are very very important to everyone of course doing a deeper massage on folks who use a racket of some type of other. Is always very helpful in working the hands going in between the thumb and the first finger here. Going in there deeply and stretching the muscle. Working around the joint of the thumb with your thumbs in small circles. Applying pressure with your fist closed from the bottom of the fingers down into the palm and holding the stretch there for a moment. Working in between the finger themselves, loosening up the muscles and actually using your hands to spread the palm. Your palm closed, slow motion towards the outside of the hand and holding. You will want to do this 2 or 3 times and once again, always careful of your body posture. Try not to hunch your shoulders and try to use lunges for extra pressure. "
