Video Transcript

"One of the most important things about yoga is prana which means breath. And you can practice your breathing sitting, standing, lying down, at any time. What I'm sitting in right now is called half lotus, and with a breath, with your inhalation breathing in through your nose. We're going to think about your diaphragm, which sits here, filling it all the way up with air as you press it, all the way down, filling the chest and the lungs and the kidneys expand as you inhale. And then as you exhale, pulling the pelvic floor and navel into the small of the navel, and thinking about your breath just rolling up like a tube of toothpaste as you exhale it all the way out of your mouth. So you inhale nice and deep, filling, expanding, and exhale, as the shoulders drop and relax. Pelvic floor and navel to small of the beck, and everything exhales all the way out of the mouth."
