"Hi there! My name is Connie Hale. Thanks for joining me here at expertvillage.com. Today we’re going over some beginning basic aerobic dance and workout. Please discuss with your doctor before you take on any type of physical activity or routine. Dancing is fun. Aerobics can be fun if you add dance into it. Just simple moving and grooving across the dance floor can achieve something for you, but today we’re going to add a little more dance into it. I know you see in those Rockettes on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicking their heart out, well let’s practice a little bit of that. We’re going to start with the knee. We bring it up, other foot, bring it up. Face the side. You can see where we have our place of the foot. We make a letter P with our leg here. Letter P. That’s your beginning step. That’s your windup. So we’re bringing it up, down, up, down, hands on hips comfortably, down, up, down. What follows that, we got to get that kick. The up knee with the hop, down, and we kick down, knee, kick, knee, kick. You can flick it or you just bring it straight up, whatever you prefer. We do knee, kick, knee. Notice it’s constantly hopping. Knee, kick, knee, kick. Again, if you want to flick it that’s fine too. Knee, flick, knee, flick. You can bring it out. It almost winds it up before you bring it out. Flick, flick, flick, flick. Anything to get your heart pumping is going to work. Let’s face it front, arms to the side. Flick, flick, flick, flick. Constantly hopping, arms as if you’re jumping rope. Out, out, and let’s cross it, out, cross, and straight, out. Again, more Rockette form is simply straight up, up. Keep working. "
