on 8/2/2008 I know this is for women over 50, but, as a man of age 56, I was interested in what would be demonstrated. This front squat is much like the leg stretch my Soo Bahk Do instructor has us do. (I started taking karate this year, and it's good exercise.) The difference in placement of the hands is that we're encouraged to hold our hands together behind us, something that I had to work on balance for, and we don't have the rear leg touch the floor. We do the same as Angie suggests, to go for a little more stretch when ready, and that's probably how I'm able to do this squat with the rear knee not touching the floor.

" On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Angie Yarid from LA Wax and Skincare Center located in Miami, Florida, and today we’ll be talking about exercising for women over that beautiful number 50. Okay ladies let’s talk about another form of exercising which will take a little more energy, but it’ll help us. We’re going to do squatting. We’re going to walk forward, one knee down exercising position, hold for a few seconds and back. Now we’re going to rotate, okay, and we’re going to the next leg and we’re going to go down, hold for a few seconds and back to our relax position. Now those of us who are more advanced with exercising would be able to stretch our legs a little further by squatting more and back."
