"Rafting is organized chaos and because of that chaos element it's always good for the raft guide to know what a low brace is. Raft guide hardly knows what's going to go on the whole time and the raft guides are just as likely to fall out as the guests or the crew. So learning the skill of a low brace is great. You want to make sure that you place your paddle nice and horizontal to the water, you slap the paddle and push yourself up. It's usually your last chance to get yourself back in the boat before you swim. So let's see how Mike does here. So again with a low brace nice horizontal paddle shaft to the water is most effective and brining your head up last helps that stroke push you back into the raft. Low brace is a great thing for the crew to learn as well so you can avoid having swimmers. "
