"There are two ways to right a capsized raft, actually probably more than two ways, but two principal ways. One is to, uh, once the raft is flipped, is to swim the raft to shore, pull it up on shore, flip it over, get back in and do it again. Um, that’s probably the simplest way that tends to happen on lower volume rivers where it’s easy to get yourself and your equipment to shore. It’s a pretty exhausting way to get a raft to shore. If you’re out there with other rafts, its easier to have the other rafts bump your raft to shore or at least assist the swimmers in getting the raft to shore. "
