"We're going to talk about another basic part of street skating and that's the manual. A manual is simply riding on the skateboard on only your back two wheels of your back truck. With enough practice you can ride for a long way like this and add it to improve on other tricks. One problem that people have when learning how to manual is that they keep their front foot too far back that way it's makes them easy to lift the board. However stability is the key when learning how to manual so it's important to keep your front foot even further up than you would for an ollie. Place your back foot half on the tail (half off), lift up while you're rolling and make sure you position, your weight as you need to, keep the board steady. Let's see a short little manual in motion. Notice I had to constantly shift my body weight around to get around the board to only to be on two wheels. As you learn how to do manuals, you'll find with more speed they are actually easier than doing them slow. Let's try another one with a little bit more speed to show you how much easier and stable it is. Notice when doing the manual with more speed, I have to shift by moving my body around a lot less. Also learning to do them with more speed will add to your style and build you up to doing more and more manual involve tricks."
