"We're talking about skateboarding parts and maintenance and we're going to talk a little bit about the trucks. The trucks are the two devices that you use to hold the wheels onto the skateboard. They are also important in turning the amount of flexibility of the trucks determines how fast and sharply the deck is actually turns. The trucks consist of a nut which holds on the king pin and two rubber stoppers called bushings. Also a middle axle runs through the middle of the truck which attaches the wheels to at either end. Choosing the right trucks for you is an important in having a complete skateboard setup. The trick to finding wheels and trucks that suit you is to attach your trucks to the deck and then look down above the deck. If you can see a considerable amount of wheels or trucks poking out from your view then you pick trucks that are a little bit to wide. If you look down at your deck and you can't see the wheels at all perhaps you picked trucks that are a little to small. This will cause you in balance and stability when skateboarding. The trick is to pick a truck and a wheel combination that will only pertrude slightly from the width of your deck. Make sure you pick trucks that are medal never plastic durable and have enough flexibility to allow ease of turning and mobility."
