"We're going to talk about an avoidable part of ramp skating and that's falling. If you learn how to skate ramp or skate ramp all the time, then you'll know that at some point you have to fall. The most important thing as long as you know how to fall safely to protect your body. The trick to falling on ramp is to let your protective knee pads do all the sliding. When falling face forward, bend your knees, let your knees slide down and use your hands as a guide. Try to avoid letting your face get close to the ground. Remember by falling at the top of the ramp, bend your knees slide down your knee pads. Let's say we approach the ramp get to the top of the lip a trick goes wrong and now I'm without my board and have to re-enter the ramp. I simply bend my knees, let my knee cap slide down the transition and guide myself with my hands. Remember to keep your knees bend, let your knee pads do all the work. Learning how to fall safely can protect you from skinning your knees and also from serious knee injury. Falling is avoidable part of ramp skating. It should be learned before progressing any further."
