"Hi, continuing on our series on ramp skating, we are going to talk about approaching a ramp and doing a simple board stall. You want to approach the ramp with your front wheels over the copping, shift all your weight until you feel that your deck hit the copping and then let it rest. When first learning this trick, don't worry about turning around and don't worry about rolling back down. Simply get use to approaching the ramp and shifting your weight to the deck of the ramp. Once at the top of the ramp, get use to the way it feels to have your knees bent and your weight distributed to keep your skateboard on the top of the deck. Once you get use to this trick, then you can work on turning around and dropping back into the ramp after doing the simple stall. Learning this trick can lead to more advance board stalls and eventually to truck stalls. This is how to do a basic board stall on a small quarter pipe."
