"Hi, we're going to talk a little bit about the fundamental ramp skating. This trick is how to approach transition. Approaching transition is different from approaching street obstacles. You have to foresee that your weight has to be distributed up the ramp and then back down again. The key is bending your knees when approaching the ramp and bending your knees while rolling away. Notice that my knees bent as I was approaching the ramp, straighten out on the flat part of the transition and then bent once again to drop back in. The important thing to remember is that you increase speed as you go up the ramp and increase speed as you go down. Try not to shift your weight but maintain your feet steady on the board with your wheels over the bolts. This is how to approach transition in a ramp situation."
