Video Transcript

"Hi, I'm Holly Heidemann on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you some barrel horse exercises today that will help you maintain your turns and keep them very snappy and sharp. The first exercise I'm going to show you is all left or all right barrels. Instead of doing the pattern the regular way, we're going to, on a trot, first turn the left barrel, then the third barrel, then the first barrel with all left turns. That will confuse your horse a little and keep them on their toes and it will help them finish their turns. It will keep them listening to you. Then I'll do all right barrels where you start out with the right barrel turning that to the right, you go down to the third barrel turning to the right, then come to the second barrel turning to the right and come back. (video demo)."
