"Hey, I'm Bobby Larew. Right now what we're going to talk about is warming your muscles and warming your body up with doing some cardio, even before you start stretching or anything on the mat. So what I wanted to do was give you a few of the different exercises you can do to warm your muscles up. Usually a good rule is at least 5 minutes. I would try to shoot for 10. The more you can warm yourself up, the more limber you'll be when you stretch and the more that your muscles won't break down as you're doing diving or different exercise that you're going to do. So the first thing that you can do, really simple if you have nothing else but yourself, just jumping jacks, okay? Jumping jacks are really easy to do. If you've never done them before, start with your hands down at your side, feet together. You're going to jump. Open up your legs, bring your hands above your head and then back, alright? Usually warm up with sets of about 100 jumping jacks. The second thing that you can do, if you have a jump rope, warm up on the jump rope, okay? Make sure you're doing at least 5 minutes worth of jump rope. A couple of other things that you can do -if you've got some running shoes on and it's a nice day, take a 5 to 10 minute jog. Other things that you could do is maybe some mountain climbers. Mountain climbers are real simple. Palms down flat on the floor, you're going to put your feet behind you, alright, and you're going to alternate legs, and what you're going to do is you're going to bring one foot up under you, okay, and then switch it with the other one. Those are just a few of the things that you can do to warm up your muscles before you get started."
