"Start from here, we will go through it slow. Separate down, up, and in this phase I like to pause, especially with the young kids and then we will throw. As we throw we bring our elbow and our glove in and we release out front. So we will go through it, down, up, and finish. So when I finish I have to make sure that my chest is over my knee. My hand finishes to my opposite thigh. Very important, this is a good time if you have somebody to receive to still have them down into a catchers stance so that you start working on your release points. Okay, and if you noticed all the whole time that I finish off, my chin is still focused on my target. My eyes don't pull off to the side or my body move left or right. We have got to stay linear in our mechanics, either two facets, up and down this way and left to right. So if our body starts to sway this way or sway back, then we are going to have some problems in our mechanics and eventually in our final, in our release point and on our target. Again we can go back to the strike ball. This will give us good feed back on whether or not we are releasing the ball right. In this instance, it depends on your arm slot, you could be straight over the top, high three quarters, low three quarters, side arm. The ball is going to tilt so your line might be straight but it might be on an angle. So usually when I throw in this instance and the farther I get back, I will get more tilt on the ball. You will still start to see a straight line. The more wobble that you have on the ball, the less speed that you are going to gain."
