Video Transcript

"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Joe Spano. In the next series of clips we are going to be demonstrating the forehand ground stroke. Using the eastern grip or sometimes young players like to use the advance western grip. Primarily what we want to do is show the stroke and what I like to do with beginners is to show the full strokes before we break it down into parts and this is what the forehand stroke would look like. Turn, step, through the ball at the waist, up, and follow through. If you notice the balance is the same as the forehand ball that is why we emphasis coming across the line in a full stroke here through and up. I will now will break this stroke down into smaller parts. "
