"Hi, I'm Kelli and this is Covey on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you my options and techniques on how to groom your horse. Now since we have cleaned out her feet, we are going to apply a little bit of conditioner to the outside of her feet. Since it is a little bit dryer right now, you want to get a little bit of moisture in her feet before we go ride so they are not too brittle and they don't end up cracking up when we ride. So this is tar base moisturizer, it has a brush. So we are just going to brush it all the way along the foot, around the corner band. We are going to put a little bit on the heels of the feet. Just brush it all the way around so this would just infuse a nice moisture into the feet so they would not crack or will not get brittle and break up when you ride. Especially if you are riding on a rougher surface, this is a important thing to do cause if you are riding on a rougher hard surface there is a lot of friction on the hooves. That could cause them to break up. So you just want to make sure you are probably conditioning their feet. I'm going to walk around right here, enough distance so she could not kick. Give her a little pat and let her know that I'm here on her hind foot. Brush it around, corner band all around the foot, a little on the heels so we can get the center part of the heel if we missed a little bit on the other side. So this would just keep her feet really nice and soft so they would stay nice and healthy. So they would not chip up or they would not break, it helps them grow better, keeps there shoes on longer. If they where shoes. So conditioning is a really important thing. So that is how you want to apply hoof conditioner to your horse feet."
