"Hi, I'm Mara Keith-Hunter for Expert Village. Today I would be talking about how to clip a horse. One clipping that is always important to remember is safety. If you are unfamiliar with your horse, I strongly recommend taking them off the brass ties. Because if they get scared, they would pull back and break the ties and scare their selves more. It is so important to be careful with the wires that you don't end up wrapping them in their legs which can also scare them. So I recommend having the extension cord so you give yourself a little bit more lead way so nothing gets tied and knotted and it ends up right around there legs. I also strongly recommend having a second person available to help you in case your horse does get scared. Once again this is especially if you know your horse. If it is a new horse that you have not worked before, horse often have different reaction to clipping it could be the vibrations could be frightening for them. "
