"Today we are setting a gymnastic that begins with trotting rather then canter in. To begin the line of gymnastic we are going to set a trot pole. Today we are setting our gymnastic on the center line, this is nice and you can jump it from each direction. From the trot pole to the first jump depending on your horses stride but as a average should be about 7 feet. So to do this I'm going to start right in the middle of the ground pole and walk 1,2, now we are at 6 feet and then you just have to guess what about a foot is. I'm going to just make a line in the dirt right here marking where my next pole would go. "
