"After a hard workout if your horse had built up a sweat, it is important to make sure that you would allow him to walk and to cool off. Also on a wintry day, it is important to have a cover handy. The cover is going to keep the horse from getting chilled too quickly. After working a sweat and exposing that sweat to cold air the horse could become cold. Keeping the cover on just insulates breeze and keeps your horses body temperature at a more reasonable temperature. It also going to decrease the risk of cause a colic. "
