"Teaching a young horse to transition especially down to the walk and down to the halt can be difficult at first. So we would just work a little bit on how to teach the young horse those transitions. Now one way to help control the horse if it does not want to obedient and come down to a walk is first bring down a small looser grasp. This is going to give you more control. Then we can use the longe line a little bit easier to back your horse up or give him as tug. Try that again. You can come to a small circle as you need to and woo. The same is true for the halt a lot of horse don't like to halt and stay out in the circle. A small circle can help you control them so here I'm close enough so I can say halt an use the longe line as a act of halt. Halt.
