"So we would now start to approach getting on. As I slowly go up the mounting block, remember to keep a hold of the reins. She seems very comfortable with me. We are going to keep the reins now in the left hand. It is important that you keep them tight. You do not want to get on with them this loose because as you are in mid air it would be very easy for them to take off and you can get into series trouble. So short, short rein holding with the left hand. The right hand is going to be on the saddle, this hand is going to help you to push yourself up and over. Your left foot is going to be in the stirrup and your right leg is going to come over onto the other side of the horse. If at this stage your horse starts to dance around or be nervous, it is important that you take note and find someone to assist you."
