"Hi, I'm Mara Keith-Hunter for Expert Village. Today I would be talking about how to longe a horse. The next step is to attach the longeing line there is a number of ways to attach the longeing line. The way that we are going to do it today is to put it through the left side of the bit going up over her head and attach on the right side. Next we are going to attach the side reins to do this we are going to run the side reins underneath the girth. Back out and we would attach it on one of the looser holes. It is alway important to start either without the outside reins out especially if you don't know the horse or on a loose setting. We would go ahead and attach, very loose as you can see and we would go ahead and attach the second one. Always making sure that she seems comfortable with them attached. Some horses could feel claustrophobic with a study pressure of the side reins and attach. "
