"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that I use when using transitions in the western style riding. Now we are going to move our horse from the halt into the lope. So we are going to make sure that we are sitting with good posture. I'm just going to pick up a little bit get her a little collected. I'm going to stick my spur in and have her lope. So again have her halt, stick my outside of the spur in, give her a kiss and have her halt. Again pick up a little bit, outside spur, whoa. Outside spur, put the outside spur in, have her lift right into the lope. It is also really great effective way you can train your horse to listen really well to your leg or to slow of speed. Instead of just continuously loping in circles. It gets them to be listening, it gets them a little bit more responsive instead of just cruising around and doing there own thing. So transitions are really a great way that you can get your horse listening to you more effectively get them more responsive. So one last time we are going to stick our outside spur in and ask her to loop. So that is how you would want to transition from the halt into the lope. "
