"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that I use when using transitions in the western style riding. The next transition we are going to do we are going to do the jog to the walk. So we are going to move her up here to a jog. We want to walk, we are going to sit deep and we are going to pick up a little bit. You can verbally tell her to walk if your horse responds well to voice commands. If your horse responds well to squeeze stopping you can move to a jog and apply a little bit of leg pressure and get your horse to break down to a walk. You just don't want to squeeze as tight as you do when you are squeeze stopping cause you would not want her to stop all the way. You just want her to break to the walk. So again move up here to the jog, you can sit and pull up a little bit. Ask her to walk or if you squeeze stop. You can sit just apply right leg pressure and get her to break back down into that walk. So one last time pull back and say walk. Or apply right leg pressure and get her to go down to the walk. So that is how you can very easily transition from the jog back down to the walk. "
