"Hi, I'm Kelli and this is Covey and on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to show you my options and techniques on how to free lunge your horse. Now that we have her loose and we have picked up our whip, we are going to do a little bit of trotting so she would get a little bit more exercise. So I'm going to walk to her shoulder. Give her a cluck, wave my whip a little bit at her. Tell to trot so she would pick up the trot and go around. I'm going to try to make sure that I stay at her shoulder, don't get too far ahead of her or too far behind her. I don't want her to turn around on me or stop. I'm going to keep my whip up a little bit. If you notice verses when I was walking having her walk I had my whip held really really low. Trot! So keep her trotting, keeping my whip picked up a little bit and held at her hatches. I'm also making sure that I'm keeping it pointed at her so she would stay out in the rail and not come in the center towards me. Keep clucking at her to keep her going. If I want to increase speed I might wave the whip a little bit at her, give her another big cluck so she would trot out a little bit more. Get a little bit more exercise. I want to make sure that I'm staying with her walking around cause if I don't pay attention to her or if I stop walking she is going to stop. Then she is going to come towards me. So you want to make sure you are always staying at there shoulder, keeping the whip pointed at them so they stay going. That is how you want to trot your horse when you are free lunging. "
