"Hi! I'm Kelli and this is Colby on behalf of Expert village. I am going to show you my opinion and techniques on how you lunge your horse. So now that we are in an area where we want to lunge, we want her to get a little more exercise so we are going to move her up in a trot. So I am going to just lightly wave my whip behind her, going to cluck and say trot so she will go around at a trot. I am going to hold my whip up a little bit to keep her impulsion going forward. I'm standing at her shoulder. If you notice I am holding my whip up a little bit and keeping it pointed at her haunches so that she stays away from me. I don't want her coming into my circle. Just going to cluck to her every once in a while so that she stays moving. If I want her to pick up speed a little bit, she picked up a little bit too much speed there but that's all right. You want her to get her energy out. We are going to just cluck gently and wave the whip behind her so she will trot out a little bit. This is how you want to trot your horse a little bit on a lunge line. "
