"Hi! I'm Kelli and this is Colby on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you my opinions and techniques on how to lunge your horse. Now that we've picked the area that we want to lunge, we are going to have her go around at a walk as soon as she scratches her leg. So we are just going to cluck. We are going to hold our whip down really nice and low because we don't want her going too fast. You can see I am standing right at her shoulder when I go around. I don't want to stand too far in front of her or too far behind her because I want her to stay out in a perfect circle. I'm holding the whip at her haunches. That keeps her from going forward and I am not doing anything crazy. I am just being nice and calm, holding my whip nice and low so that she stays at a walk. I don't want her to do anything too crazy. We are just going to let her walk around and let her chill out. Let her get used to her surroundings and when you are standing in the middle, you just want to pivot on your left foot. As you follow her around, you don't want to be walking in a big circle or getting too far in front or too far behind the horse because4 that just confuses them and makes them want to stop. That is how you want to walk your horse on a lunge line. "
