"Hi! I'm Kelli and this is Colby on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you my opinions and techniques on how to lunge your horse. So when you lead your horse into the arena with your lunge whip, you always want to lead on the left side. You are going to hold your lunge line in your right hand and you are going to hold the remainder in your left hand. You are also going to hold your whip in your left hand. You want to make sure that you hold it down really low. You don't want to wave it around the horse's face to startle it at all. So you are always going to look straight ahead. You are going to keep your eyes up, be aware of what is going on around you, make sure that you don't let our lunge line drag too far on the ground or your whip drags and you trip over it or your horse doesn't step on it. You want to carry it really well so that it doesn't startle our horse. That is how you will want to lead your horse with a whip. "
