In some parts of the world they still pull our farmer’s plows and carry our loads. They’ve been indispensable in herding and driving our cattle. And the police have mounted horse patrols for crowd control situations in urban environments. No question, horses have proven to be well-suited for human life, expressing qualities of loyalty and bravery, responding to commands, and usually having a calm, docile demeanor.

Since they are wild animals, all horses need some sort of training before they can work side by side with humans. Especially in horseback riding, the relationship between horse and rider must be cultivated over time and with the proper techniques and equipment. "Hi! I'm Kelli and this is Colby on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you my opinions and techniques on how to lunge your horse. The supplies that you will need to lunge your horse is a halter. There are couple of different styles of halter that you can use. You can get one that clips here at the cheek, one that buckles over the ear or one that does both such as this one. Halters also come in a couple of different styles. You can get a leather halter or nylon halter such as this one. This is a nylon halter. You also want to use a lunge line. A lunge line is about a 30 foot long line that you clip to the halter so that the horse can go around you and get exercise. This one just has a regular clip and you can also get one with a chain. You also need a lunge whip which is a really long whip like this. This will help you make the horse go around you so that it can get exercise. So these are the supplies that you will need to lunge your horse. "
