"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you my tips and techniques that I use to bridle my horse with a western bridle. So now we are ready to put the bit in our horse mouth. So the first thing we are going to do is we are going to take off our halter. We are going to hold her head over our right shoulder with our right hand. We are going to take the crown piece over our bridle. We are going to take our bit up to her mouth with our left hand and we are going to put it in her mouth. Now she did not like to open her mouth, we can stick our thumb in there and give her tongue a little tickle so she would open up her mouth. Some horse are a little bit more belligerent about wanting to take a bit. But that is a technique that you could use so they can open there mouth so you can very gently slide the horse bit into the teeth. You also want to make sure that you don't hit the teeth or pull on it to hard cause you would never want to hurt your horse or your horses teeth. So that is how you would want to put the bit in the mouth. "
