"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you some techniques and tips that I use to bridle my horse with a Western bridle. So the first thing we are going to do is put a halter on our horse. So we are going to take our right hand, reach it around and grab her nose, take the crown piece of her halter, place her nose in there, pull it really gently up over her ears and make sure her forelock or her mane isn't stuck in there pulling in an uncomfortable way. We are going to take our clip here and we are going to clip it to the O-ring on the side. Some halters will have a crown piece that goes up over the ears so all you do is just slip it through there and buckle it up if your halter is made that way. You want to make sure that it doesn't sit too tight on the horse's face so it doesn't rub or it doesn't pull. It should usually sit a couple of inches up from the nostril of your nose band so that it is not too tight or too small on your horse. And that is how you put a halter on your horse. "
