"Hi! I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you my tips and techniques to saddle your horse with a Western saddle. So first thing we are going to do is put her halter on our horse. So we are going to take our right hand and reach it around and grab her nose. We are going to take the crown piece of her halter and place her nose in there. Pull it really gently up over her ears. Make sure her forelock and her mane is not stuck in there pulling in any uncomfortable way. We are going to take our clip here and we are going to clip it to the 0-ring on the side. Some halters will have a crown piece that goes up over the ears. So all you do is just slip it through there and buckle it up if your halter is made that way. Make sure that it doesn't sit too tight on the horse's face so that it doesn't rub or doesn't pull. So it usually sits a couple of inches up from the nostril of the nose band so that it is not too tight or too small on your horse. And that is how you put your halter on your horse. "
