" Hi there! I’m Fran Freedman at Morning Starr Animal Sanctuary, and I’m here to tell you about toys for ferrets on behalf of expertvillage.com. One thing that is great toy for ferrets, it’s very easy, you can make them yourself, or people do make them, it’s crotched eggs. They’re just inside as the plastic Easter egg. I put pasta in mine so that they’re very very safe and there is nothing in there that if they do break open, because they can be pretty rough on these things and pull them and tear them and rip them. You just cut off the thing and make a new one, but the pasta, if it gets lose it won’t hurt them. They like things that make noise, so you can throw one of those. I also have dog toys. They’re very curious. And a little hint about toys is to give them a toy for about 2 or 3 weeks and then take all the toys out, which is a good time to wash them, get them all clean again, and give them different toys. I have a box that I give them the toys, and then when I’m washing them I have another box of toys so that they’re always clean. Then they think they’re new toys so they get real excited about them again. Squeaky toys tends to get them really excited, so you should never really play with squeaky toys with them unless you’re willing to get a little nibble. It gets them really going and as you can see they really love the eggs. He’s walking around with the egg. Actually that Suzy Q; she’s walking around with the egg. They’re going along after the squeaky toy. You also have to be careful because they can get a little exuberant and get nippy. Those are some toys that are good for ferrets. "
