" Hi there! I’m Fran Freedman of Morning Starr Animal Sanctuary, and I’m here to tell you about beds and bedding for ferrets on behalf of expertvillage.com. First of all, as you can see ferrets love hammocks. There is a variety of hammocks that you can buy or make, people make then and sell them on EBay. You get them online at the ferretstore.com, at the ferretdepot.com. They usually run about 20 dollars. You can also have home made like this one here is a pillow. Someone made this and donated it. They have a little idea of this little pouch here, which ferrets love to get into little pouches, and they go into the little pouch and they’re nice and warm. You’d be surprised that 2 or 3 ferrets can fit in here and cuddle up and go to sleep. There is also things from garage sales. This was from a baby blanket. Some of the smaller ferrets like to cuddle up and go inside here. You can just take something like this and put it the cage, and sure enough they’ll have fun with it. Probably only one can fit in here, but if they’re small ones like a couple of little girls, they can probably both cuddle up together. Someone else, who also was on EBay, was selling these. They came in a variety of different patterns; these are John Deere. These are great, they’re cuddly inside. The ferrets go in and you can probably fit 8 ferrets we’ve seen in one little pouch going to sleep. They love to cuddle together. Their beds should be as soft as possible; they really love that. You can even make your own, it’s fleece material. This one here has a little hook, because people who know ferrets know they like to move things around, so you can actually hook this on. You just use the shower curtain hooks, which I use for a lot of things here. That keeps it in place so that they’re not dragging it all over the place. The other great thing about beds like this is that they’re very easy to wash. Ferrets do have a musky odor and you do have to wash their bedding frequently in order to keep the scent down and keep them smelling fresh. But these, they turn inside out and they wash up really really well. "
