Ferrets can be socialized with children and other pets. It is important that when your ferret is playing with children or pets that there is adult supervision. Ferrets can be very playful and get over zealous and bite and it is important that there is an adult there to correct the biting behavior if your ferret gets too excited. Generally when your ferret is playing with other ferrets they bite very hard. This is because ferrets have very thick skin. We need to teach them when they start playing with us and other pets that they need to bite more gently. Ferrets will always bite as a plain gesture. It is just a matter of training them to bite gently. When socializing your ferret with different pets, once again you should always have supervision. It is very important because your ferret can injure other pets or your other pets can injure your ferret.
