"Hi! I’m Fran Friedman from Morning Store Animal Sanctuary and I would like to talk to you today about treats for ferrets on behalf of expertvillage.com. Ferrets are all different. Some of them enjoy a certain kind of treat and some do not. I have a couple of examples here. This is a chew toy; they don’t actually eat it but they just chew on it. It smells good. Ferrets like it. Let’s see, okay, it’s chewy and taste good. They usually hide it and then they go and get it later to play with it. They are quite fun and they are a new thing for ferrets. There is also a hair ball remedy now made for ferrets made by 8 in 1. It can be given as a treat. Just make sure you read the bag and don’t give too many treats. If you see any signs of diarrhea, it’s called the litter box check. If you see any kind of funny thing going on in the litter box, definitely discontinue treats or give them less. The last one is ferret bites fruit crunch. It is also made by 8 in 1. They do tend to like them but in moderation. Never give your ferret too many treats because you are really going to have a mess. Their system just can’t take too many different things. So your ferrets should enjoy lots of treats. IF you go to the stores and websites, they have all kinds of new treats all the time for ferrets.
