"Hi, I'm Jill Bergman and I'm going to talk to you about our Alpaca feeders, and I say that because every Alpaca place has a different kind of feeder, and the important thing is to have it where you can have the hay off of the ground, or off of the dirt, or wherever you have your Alpacas. This is just a cow feeder that we have right here. We put our hay inside and on top here I have a grate, and this grate can't come off, and the Alpacas can get their heads in there and get as much hay out of there as they want. Often times you'll find the Alpaca's heads buried way down in here trying to find any little bit of goody that they can find, little bits of alfalfa, anything that they can find way down at the bottom because they think it's better. The purpose of the grate is to keep the hay in the feeder. If you didn't have a grate on this, the alpacas would be eating this and just tossing it all over the place. So it keeps the hay in the feeder, and it just serves a great purpose for that. It doesn't waste the hay."
