"Hi. my name is Jill Bergman and I am talking to you about alpacas today and one of the things thats very important if your going to have alpacas is to have a Veterinarian near by that know about alpacas. There are a lot of books about alpacas that you can read. That are that talk about health care for alpacas and I have to say that I have read just about every one of them and there are but having a good vet who knows about alpaca is priceless because if you have alpaca thats acting sick you want to be able to turn to somebody that will tell you what to do. What would be the steps to take if you had a alpaca that wasn't feeling well and a sign of a alpaca not feeling well generally is they are laying down or cushed is what we call it and when you find a alpaca thats cushed and you walk up to that alpaca and that alpaca does not get up. It means its probably sick and you probably need to make some take some steps to get that alpaca healthy."
