So if you think you may now want a pig, the first step is finding out where to get that pig. A lot of places don't have local pig farms so it is definitely one of those things you will have to research of local pig farms in your area or maybe not in your area, so you may have to drive a distance and that you may need to buy or borrow a trailer, transportation to get those pigs onto your farm. You may want to go an visit that farm first. Is it the type of farm that houses good sanitary conditions that your pig is coming from a good place at first. But pigs you know can get pigs for a variety of reasons. Some people have pigs for pets. Pigs are known to be even smarter than dogs. So a lot of farms just has pets and they run around the farm yard but obviously a lot of people have them for meats that you can breed or sell twice a year, a couple of times a year to have meat in your freezer all year long as well.
