"Hi, this is Jill Bergman and I am going to talk to you about owning alpacas as pets. Alpacas are pack animals and so it isn't something you could have just one of you need to have at least two alpacas in order for them they do not do well alone. There are other animals like that. I think horses are actually like that to. She?s such a talker isn't she? Yes. But they need to have a friend with them it gives then security it just makes, whenever we have to separate an alpaca. If an alpaca is sick or being quarantined or for any reason we have to put a alpaca away from the other alpacas. We always make sure that there with one other alpaca at least. There?s a gall here in town Becky Wilford who has two alpacas and they have been together so long that I'm afraid if we, if they were separated it would be very very hard on them."
