"Hi Im Dr. T. K. Roy. Speaking on behalf of Expert Village. Between 5 months to 6 months of age, they become adults and they start laying. Now during this period or just before that during this age of 5 to 6 months, they should be very carefully reared in good type of dip leader or cage system houses. And they should be properly vaccinated right from one day up to the point of lay and they should be given good food so that they can become adult at the right age. Otherwise what we have seen that if you do not give good quailty of feed at equal quantity then there is no growth and the birds do not become adults at the age 5 to 6 months in some cases they go up to 7, 8 months beofre they can start laying. So if by our neglet if they do not grow in correct time then we lose the production for 2 months and we incure more expenditure for feeding the birds during these two months. Thank you very much."
