Books & Information Resources on Keeping Land Hermit Crabs as Pets

This one is Hermit Crab care, Land Hermit Crabs. It not only gives you up close and personal look about what hermit crabs are, how they look, how they eat, and how they function, but it just gives you everything you need to know about taking care of a hermit crab. A lots of good background science words to offer to your kids by your teaching about taking care of your crabs, that these are essentials on knowing what to do and how to care for your crabs. Some other great books that are children’s books, but also informative. There is a lots of little science books on the market that are designed for kids and on their reading level, that are excellent informative science books about hermit crabs as well. And then some of my personal favorites are to the storybooks that are available. This is one of my favorites Eric Carl’s The House for Hermit Crab. Here is another one that I love, Maggie McDonald, Is this The House for Hermit Crab. These are excellent books for young readers and then this is a big book variety. You can found these big books probably online and some bookstores carry them, teacher stores carry in, but this is another science book but is on reading level for young children called The Hermit Crab. Great books to get your kid excited about hermit crabs or great books to help you learn more about taking care of hermit crabs and then if you really want to have some fun, you can find a hermit crab puppet to talk to your hermit crabs, then play with your kids.
