"Hi, I'm Johan Svahnström on behalf of Expert Village. Now your tank's all set up and it's time to put your geckos in for the first time. When you put your geckos in for the first time, or your gecko if you get one or two, a few things to think about. The first thing you should think about is to kind of leave them alone in their tank for a while. Let them get used to their new environment. They're probably going to come from a reptile breeder or a pet store, and they've been transported in a little cup or something like that, or a small cage, and they might feel a little frightened to get into their new tank. So, you pick your lizard up that you just bought, I've got two here I'm gonna put in and, if you buy two of them, put them in different corners of the tank. Especially if they haven't seen each other for a little while, or at all before. Now, once you put them in, you don't want to start handling them right away. Keep them to themselves for a while. Let them get used to their new environment. I would say you keep them to themselves like that for at least two, two or three days, just so they can get calm. You shouldn't need to feed them right away. You might not want to wait two or three days, but you can at least wait twenty four hours to try to feed them. They might not eat right away because of stress if they've been transported and so forth, and that might do more harm than good. So, kind of keep them in there for a while, keep them warm, keep your heat pad on, keep your light on, and just kind of leave them alone for a little bit."
