"As far as handling your snake goes, you're going to want to be gentle but firm when handling your snake. Give him places to go and curl up on. Let him wrap himself around your fingers. You want him to feel secure. You want to feel like he has control of the situation and is moving around at his pace. You don't want to hold or grip a snake. That's an indication that he's getting eaten. So you don't want to feel that way. You just want to be relaxed, calm, move slowly but firmly, and let him do most of the walking for you. He's going to make a lot of the decisions, and you just kind of have to go with the flow. Enjoy it. Handling a snake can be extremely relaxing in that vein. So, again, you want to be firm but gentle. Let the snake do what he wants to do. I mean if he's going somewhere you don't want, you can gently take him somewhere else or push his head in a different direction. But you don't want to be grabbing him, or force him to do anything that could possibly injure him, or put him on notice for the old bite-a-roo. So, again, remain calm and gentle. Let him make the decisions. He knows what he's doing. You just need to allow him to do what he does best."
