"Ok, so now you've bought your frozen pinkie mice from your local pet store. How do I feed this to my snake? Well, it's actually pretty simple, but there are some rules to follow. First of all, you never ever want to microwave a mouse. It's a messy situation and you don't want to be in it. The proper way to de thaw a frozen mouse of any size or variety is to get yourself a container, fill it with a nice hot water, as hot as you can get it while still being safe, and dropping your mouse in the water. That water is going to heat your mouse. It needs to be thoroughly, thoroughly thawed out. You don't want to feed any frozen animal to your reptile, as it can cause digestive issues. So, once your mouse is done thawing, you need to pull it out and you need to squish it around a little as unsavory as that sounds, you need to make sure that there is no frozen parts left in there. You're feeling only a little bit of bone in the head area, but the middle section should be nice and soft, and pliable, ok. I know it's kind of gross, but you got to do it, because you don't want to feed a frozen animal to your reptile. Secondly, you're going to take that and you're going to grab your feeding tongs, ok, and you're going to grab the mouse with your feeding tongs and you're going to introduce it to your reptile in its feeding enclosure. Some snakes will take the animal, the feeder animal, right from the tongs, which makes things a lot easier. They may take hard and fast, or they may take it nice and gently, it depends on the individual animal, and you'll only find out that over time."
