"The next thing to take into consideration while we're figuring out which type of snake that you want to get is the type of environment that a snake needs to have to thrive. Now some people in some places can provide better types of environment than others. Like, maybe you have a very dry house and it's hard to keep your humidity up. So maybe a rainbow boa isn't the right choice for you. They need a high humidity environment something with a lot of moisture in the air in order to ensure a healthy reptile. And if you can' provide that, you need to take that into account and maybe choose something different, like say, your good old corn snake which doesn't necessarily need as humid an environment as the rainbow boa. A much more temperate snake, much easier to take care of snake. These are things that are very important when you are looking at the reptile because if you can't provide the right environment for it, then you're not going to be happy with the reptile because it is not going to look good, and the reptile is not going to be happy with you certainly. So if you live in a dry climate and have trouble keeping a high humidity, pick a dry climate snake. If you're living in a high humidity area and you can't provide the dry climate, vice versa. So make sure you pay attention to that sort of thing as well."
