"The next thing you want to make sure, as far as feeding goes, is you want to ensure that you're always feeding on the same time of the day and the same day of the week or month, if he's big enough and you're down to monthly feedings. What that's going to do is it's going to train him to know that, on that day and that time, he gets fed, no other day possible. Again, we're doing our best to disassociate you from the prey. And you're doing as much as you can to train him to one place and one time equals food. Now, the other thing that you need to desperately make sure you're doing is make sure you're always washing your hands before and after handling any prey item. Every time you touch a mouse or a mouse's bedding, or get any of that scent on your hands, you're running the risk of him mistaking you for a mouse. So, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling prey items, as well as before and after handling your blood python. What that's going to do, is it's not only going to save you from any health concerns but it'll ensure that he doesn't accidentally take a bite out of you."
