"Next thing we're going to talk about is the proper food for your spotted python. You're going to be feeding him mice. That's pretty much what most snakes eat, so if you want a snake that's what you've got to do. Deal with it. Now, luckily, today's time, day and age you can get frozen mice pretty readily and most snakes will take those mice fairly readily as well. Spotted pythons generally eat them very very well; I've never had a problem. What we're going to do, we're going to talk about sizes of mice here really quick. First you have your pinky mouse, okay, which is going to be good for a baby spotted python. What that is, is that's a newborn mouse, nice and frozen for you so you don't have to worry about it being alive and squeaking or anything, which is rather unpleasant. The next size is the fuzzy mouse, and that's a little bit larger than the pinky. It's got some fur on it. It's getting a little bit older. Then there's going to be a size called a hopper, which I don't have here. The hoppers tend to be a little bit harder to get. They're in between a fuzzy and a full grown mouse, which is what I've got here. Okay, your spotted python will probably never be eating full grown mice; they just don't get that big. But maybe on the rare occasion maybe yours does get pretty large, so that's also another option. Frozen mice are going to cost you anywhere from ninety nine cents to a dollar for any of these sizes. So, they're not expensive and you shouldn't have to worry about cost so much. Especially since they're only eating about once a week."
