"The last thing you can feed them are cockroaches. These are spotted cockroaches. These are what I breed, they're very easily cultured. Here's a female, here's a male with full wings. They breed very quickly, they're very easy to keep in a large rubber-made container and they reproduce very fast. Now of course I'm not going to feed my salamanders full grown cockroaches, but I do feed them the smaller nymphs, like these little guys. And what you do to feed these guys, put them in a little container, just like this. And you want to use a calcium, or a vitamin supplement, this will the tiger salamanders some added nutrients that they might be missing in their meals. You don't have to give this to them every time, but just about every other time you want to give them a little bit of vitamin. So what you do, you gently sprinkle a little bit in, a little goes a long way, you don't need a lot. So you've sprinkled a little bit in there, and just give it a little shake. Now you can look inside and see that those vitamins have coated those tiny little cockroaches, and now they're ready to be fed to the tiger salamanders"
